My tomato seedlings have germinated about 30 days ago and no true leaves.... Well, a tiny bit of growth popped out 2 weeks ago but everything stopped.... The colour is off, the leaves are a yellowish purplish green with some weird spots. They are in a mini glass greenhouse insulated with a layer of plastic. Night time temperature is about 55 degrees F and day times 75-80 F. I also drenched them with some seaweed once. Dunno what's happened...

It's not really an emergency though :)

What type of soil did you use for seed starting?

Purple color is due to phosphorus deficiency... I have 4 that I started that turned into mini tomatoe plants no growth they were thrown away. Sometimes duds happen. You might need a jolt of ferts to correct the issues

When i start my seeds, i use a light fluffy steral poting mix. A heavy poting mix can cause dapening off disease. Also seeds like a steady temp of 80° day and night and they will pop up in 3-5 days. The longer it takes for them to pop up the more problems seem to acure.cool night time temp will slow them down alot. I have a much harder time with germination when temps are below 70° the longer it takes to germinate the lower sucsess rate. I use a floresant plant light place it 2" above the soil and i put plastic seran wrap over the soil so it doesnt dry out and leave the light on 24 a day until all the seedlings are up. I never fertelize until the plant have at least 2 or 3 true leaves.keep it simple and safe. I have caused more problems by loving them to much !

Ok, thanks for the replies,
I used bagged seed starting mix and only watered when the surface begins to dry out. I also added some Epsom salt to the mix so it isn't magnesium deficiency. The plants are around 2 inches tall and had 6 inch taproots. It might be phosphorus deficiency or the temp. And Chris the seeds took about 10 days to germinate which might be the problem... I think?
