does a worm hole disqualify a tomato ? They ate 2 holes into it. Can't win against the pest on maters this year ! Its currently my bigest at 19 inches . Thanks

That doesn't say no worm holes, only be free of significant soft spots or leakage. Its very healthy ! LOL the worm i hope isn't. If it don't count, then i guess it gets culled. 2.5 lbs est by the chart. :(

If it hasn't started blushing yet worm holes might heal over. I would keep it going. I had a nice one a few days ago with a worm hole and it started turning prematurely. I expect it was from the damage caused by the worm.

Chris, have you had problems with horn worms in the past? I live just about 30 miles south of you and have grown tomatoes every year since I was a kid, but I have never seen a horn worm? Ours get a shot of bifen or pyrethrin about once every two weeks. Years ago we used 7 dust. We have had Japanese beetles on our corn this year and I hadn't seen them in many years.

i have always seen them around when ever i grew tomatoes, just with eating ones i didn't care if they ate a few leaves. i just picked them off when i saw them. its different with these especially when they eat your prized flower or tomato !

BTK will stop them dead, and it's organic to boot. You do have to re spray if your plants are out doors and it rains. but a great product for any caterpillar, cabbage, tent caterpillar, cauliflower, tom. hornworm.....Terry
