My largest tomato, a Mega Marv, AKA The Mother ship just began to blush on the bottom so pick it I did.

4.00 lbs exactly.

This came from 2.78 lb 2012 Mega Marv Seed sold to me by Dale at Delectation of Tomatoes who goes by the online name Seamfaster here at Big Pumpkins.

The CC " is 23 2/8 inches.

I have posted photo's of the tomato on the scale along with a photo of the CC" reading with measuring tape.

If they haven't uploaded by the time you read this I'm very sure they will shortly.

Awesome! Now that you've hit "elite" status, imagine what the future holds...

I hope you've submitted the paperwork etc. to get it listed with the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth as an "Early Tomatoes" entry.

I want to thank all of you for chiming in.

It means so much to me to be acknowledged by all of you.

@ Seamfaster, I am taking the tomato to be weighed at a supermarket due to the weights and measures department not being available to me until next week.

After I get the official reading along with the photo's I'll submit it in the GPC Early Tomatoes division.

@ Tuija, Thank you! Congratulations yourself for your 4.14. It means a great deal to me for you, the top Finland tomato champion to acknowledge what I did.

I have two more contenders in the wings continuing to grow.

We'll see where they take me.

Thank you again everyone.

Hi Bigbear09,

Seamfaster seems to think it might be a conglomeration of
five tightly fused, variably sized ovaries making up the tomato.

I originally thought that this was a single or maybe a double due to the look of the tomato but it makes more sense that it's from variably sized multiple ovaries.

Thanks!

Hey Pizza!!

Since the official state calibrated scale read my tomato as 4.01 LBS I'm going to claim that instead of the 4.00 lb reading that my scale read the tomato as.

By the time you read this, photo's showing proof of the 4.01 LB reading should be on my diary page.

Thanks!
