For years the tomatoes I was growing for size I only allowed one main. Last 2 years I have been letting the plant divide into 2 mains about 2' off the ground while still only allowing one to grow to maturity. I'm just wondering if many others do this or do you still stick with a single main.

I let them divide, then keep the leaf on the weaker looking one so you still get an extra big leaf in the process. I was thinking the same thing Paul and might try with one plant and had an identical convo with a tomato buddy of mine. I might let the divided 2 grow on one of my divider plants and try to set one on each divided main stalk, and then cull the smaller of the 2 tomatoes after seeing how many are fused in each one if lucky enough to get one megabloom to set on each.
