Most of the weigh-offs are close to fair time, Sept. or Oct. Do you grow all summer or start later in the summer for fall contests?

i plant early if u live in say north carolina where it gets hot quick early in the year!!! if u are going for a sept ,oct, weighoff id start may 1 - 15 , i my self plant in april and do a bunch of plants ,then a few weeks later a few more to space out my tomatos!!! my local weigh off is 5 hours for me to drive so unless i get a monster in the fall i dont worry about weighoffs, plus their is a catagory for early tomaos i think???? hope that helps!!! pizzapete

remember to polinate a megabloom temps got to be close to 50 at night or most will abort, exspeciallly if u are going for a monster!!!

I'll be starting the competition plants in a few more weekends. Eaters are already going.
