This tomato weighed in at just over 5.5 pounds and I still have some growing that could be big. I weighed a second tomato today that was 4.82 pounds. Both of these tomatoes were from my own seed, Megamarv.

Today I picked 2 tomatoes. They were both from my seed, Megamarv. This seed is an heirloom and so anyone who already has Megamarv seed really won't need any more. Later this year I will make seed available to those who want it. The second tomato I picked was 4.82 pounds. Both tomatoes were on Megamarv plants. A third MM also has a good sized tomato going and so out of 4 plants I got or will get three big tomatoes. I love this seed. Marv

Grafts were a total failure. They simply did not produce. One plant did not even get one tomato on it.

Megamarv is not a hybrid seed. It is an heirloom. The seeds will all breed true. Marv.

You giant tomato growers should be grafting all of your competition plants...I could give you advice on rootstock seed and successful grafting techniques. I have grafted hundreds of tomatoes onto absolute stud rootstocks. I receive the complement every year that I have the best tomatoes anyone has ever seen. The rootstocks are extremely vigorous and more disease (soil diseases)resistant than 99.9% of all of the rest of the varieties out there. With proper, inexpensive tools, and a good handful of seeds, most any grower can graft near the 50% easy. Proper tools + proper technique = one bad ass mater plant.
