A 5 segmented megabloom recently appeared on a sucker vine and I'm curious if anyone has ever had one take and grow out to a respectable size. The part of the vine just behind the blossom looks like a ribbon or flat vine, very odd looking. Thoughts?

Give it a shot, worst that can happen is it doesn't do anything.

I had an 8 segmented megabloom on a sucker in late October last year, too cold at that point to do anything with it however, it's changing my mind about pruning technique. Sure, I get the two and three segmented blossoms with a traditional plant but two years in a row, large megablooms on suckers.....hmmmmmmm
