I had an 8 segment blossom appear in late October last year (Big Zac). It did not pollinate though. It grew on a plant that I stopped pruning in early September.

I had a 6 or 8 mega blossom this spring on a volunteer Cherokee Purple. They were all in one long line ------, I have pictures of the blossom and the fruit, didn't turn out nearly as big as I hoped, but is very cool looking. I have pictures of both the blossom and the fruit. Maybe someone can help figure out just how many floweres there are. It was interesting becuase initially the plant terminate with this blossom at the top, like a sunflower. Eventually it sprouted side branches which continue growing up.
