I have heard the USPS didn't play nice with some of the 7.18 Harps. I have two small clone suckers I plucked Sunday, and if those really ravaged ones don't make it (I know who you are already) I will send another.

I have shut down the factory; put notes and pictures on BP diary; and am cleaning out the greenhouse/rearing area. It broke 100 today so we are into SUMMER and I wish everyone luck this season.

Thanks, those of you that took a chance, may they grow big for you. If any plants do well, refer to my diary a few weeks before you clean the plant out and make an airlayer clone of your own to take in.

Go Pete Go! Grow'm bigger.

World record is currently 7.75# grown on a Delicious by the late Gordon Graham of Edmond Oklahoma. Planning on if anyone breaks that record, to KEEP it in OK .. :D

I have two Deliscious plants, started from seed inside, and placed in the ground last Saturday. I'm at 6840' of elevation here. Grew this variety last year, healthy, good fruits, tasty, maybe 1.5 to 2# max.....yet no way pressing any size limits worthy of boasting.

At what elevation was the OK record grown ?

Heat, more compost, heat, more compost, heat, more compost.....and keep the soil consistently damp with no wild water fluctuations in either direction.

OK record was grown at Edmond OK, probably 1000 feet. I am at 4157, moved down from 6157 in Springs (and lived at 6500 before that in Springs on other end). Altitude should not make as much difference, your issue will be cold nights and UV scalding....
