I started my tomatoe seeds already, question, they are about 3 inchs high, have 2 leafs and starting to get more leafs. they are in cups with holes in the bottom, should I be transplanting them into other plants? I had one of them die already, never grown tomatoes before.

im no expert at growing tomatoes but i think you may have started then over a month earlier then needed, unless you have a green house or can plant outside i fear your plants are going to get very spindly by plating time around mid may

I started mine on valentines day. Lots of good strong grow lights should keep the height under controll. I did not use grow lights for a few years. It still work but it is really tricky.

I relize I planted them a little early, I will probably put them in a big planter and put them on the porch, I have never done it this way but I have seen it done.

Chamomile tea in your water will prevent this..it is a mild fungicide and prevent damping off on seedlings. Plus they need air movement to make strong stems.

I would pluck off lower leaves, and replant into deeper pots until time to go outdoors. Those long stems will grow roots all along them and give a larger root base.
