I am curious as to what method others are using now. When I started I was doing them all as hole insertion. Now I prefer the one cotyledon method. I also am severing all the roots on the rootstock and re-rooting it from scratch.(like you see at the end of this video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0GwgMb0M3Q I used to have many, midseason plant collapse problems. Since I have been using my current methods I have not had any problems. I am not sure why.

Thanks Pork chop, I appreciate it. Jsterry, I like to use BG and Shintosa, This year instead of 'Shintosa Camelforce' I am trying 'Tetsukabuto'

Yeah some things are harder than others to root. I have a very good set up for propagation. My key to getting good roots to grow is warm soil and intermittent mist. I use a fifty fifty blend of pro mix bx and perlite as the medium for rooting.

Thanks Andrew, it seems to work pretty well for you too. Have you had many plants collapse on you?
