I have heard that the long term forecast in the US is for generally wetter weather than normal. What do some of you growers think this will do to weights this coming season. It may be extra important to provide good dry areas for your melons to sit on this year.Remember how Joseph Young had to pick Fiona, a potential world record, early due to inadequate bottom protection.

Kind of slow on here. Seems about all melon growing interest has gone to Facebook.

I think activity will pick up here Dennis with better weather and season upon us. Its soaking wet here in Midwest Illinois right now with 4" of ran the few days in a row predicted. I've started plants but have no clue when I'll get in the patch. I may try raising Catfish or Talapia in the patch..seems right now it would be more productive!

Activity on here has NOT picked up Joseph. I am not sure why other than there are other active forums that seem to have grown more popular.
