Am I doing more harm than good if I leave one growing on a smaller than 100lft plant?...it's prolly more like 50 lft...its is growing ...and it's cute so I was gonna let it go for shitz and gigs...

I don't think it will hurt a thing especially if the plant is growing fast now. We set one on a plant last year that was about 60 lft but the plant was growing like crazy. It ended up being 228 lbs. Good luck man!

I agree with Charles. If the plant is growing well I say leave it alone. How big is it? They can go from the size of your thumb to as big as a soda can in about 4-5 days.

How many days will you wait to pick? Is leaving a few on for 7-10 days too long? Culling now but when you have had nothing to cull don't want to be too quick.

Hank I have had 2 on a plant for 15 days or better. I might wait too long, but I like to compare OTT numbers. What one does on day 10,the other might do in 7-8 days. Probably not the best example, but I just culled one that was growing very well. 15 DAP. I had another that was 3 days behind. Over the course of 4-5 days the younger melon made up almost 14 inches of the 20 it was behind. The last 3 days it has posted better measurements than the other did at the same age. Now it is at 15 DAP and it is 4 inches (5 pounds) ahead of the culled melon.
