I have two melons on the 282 need to pick one. Their growth has been identical. Same distance from stump. Both on big vines connected to stump. Same amount of lobes. One day apart pollination. One is slightly fatter but not much. The only idea I had was to put them on a scale and see who's the heaviest to the chart. Does anyone else do this?

Sounds like a good idea to me. get them on the scale before you can't. How old are they? I had similar problem last year, let them go until 20 DAP and then one begin to have better numbers.

Somebody, somewhere, left a couple or three on the same plant, I think? & had three well over 200#'s. I realize the 350# thing, is important!!! But, I was way impressed w/3/200#+ on the same plant!!! Peace, Wayne
