Any ideas on how to encourage female blossoms? We're getting some in the patch on our plant, but all just dry up and vanish? I pretty much have stayed the course with similar feedings as with my giant pumpkin. Any ideas? First year grower and had to replant seeds twice this season. Please help! thanks!!!

How big is plant? How hot is it? A good bloom booster could help.

Are the flowers opening? Do you have bees?

Deadheading the plant at the young melon will help them to set on sometimes.

Too much N will render no females. I know this from experience.

We just tried Nutra Aid Bloom Booster and Fruit Finisher and we have big girls paying a visit. Plant seems to be filling out to maybe 10x8 feet, but the weather is just heating up. The growth seems to be picking up fairly well, but it seemed a bit slow at first. The male flower do open and now, I have been seeing the females also open since yesterday. No nitrogen given as of yet. We will try to dead head the vine at the little guy just pollinated. thanks everyone!! We will keep updating.
