I have this problem all my watermelons are turning black. (Image attached) any help?

It appears to be friction damage. Probably caused by a leaf or cup, if you covered it, on a windy day.

I have a slight mark on one of mine as well. With it cause rot Brotherdave ?

Never left one long enough to find out. Had one on this year with a small rub on the bottom. Culled it because of pear shape BUT the scar (healed)was not growing as well as I would have hoped. Just an observation.

Thanks brother dave. Found a small spot on my melon on the 251 Kent. My first thought was "that pot I covered it with during that thunderstorm last night must have done that" Thanks for confirmation.
