Completely amazing: http://www.bigpumpkins.com/WeighoffResultsGPC.aspx?c=W&y=2014

According to the GPC, Ivan Bartoli has just shattered the watermelon world record by over 1000 pounds with a melon weighing 1362.5 pounds. Congratulations Ivan. I think this was a pumpkin instead of a watermelon though. I wonder how long it will take the GPC to get this corrected ? LOL

Anyway, congratulations to Sauro Bartoli on a 297 pound melon. I think that is the biggest one weighed so far this year.

Thanks Chris. Ken does a great job. I was just amazed when I saw the pumpkin weight entered in the watermelon category. When the 316 was grown I could hardly believe it. And now I was looking at a entry that was a multiple weight of the current world record. But I did have the thought that well just maybe something crazy had happened because incredible things do happen sometimes. Just my thoughts.

But the 316 was not a graft and bartoli is a graft.

That is true watermelons. Bill holds the world record for a non grafted Carolina Cross.
