New growers please be aware that you need to dispose of your old vines in a good manner. Any acquired diseases from last season can winter over in your trotting vines. And then that disease can be reintroduced to your plants early on in the season next year setting the stage for disaster. Burning or throwing away old vines is good and some growers just put them into their compost.
