Hey Mark the list from the committee is wrong! I am a club member and I weighed my melon at the Allardt, TN weighoff and it weighed 208.8lbs good enough for 15th place I thought! I became a club member last year so I am eligible for the top 20. I have emailed Marvin for a correction!

Matt is right he did take 15th place. Matt and talked about this before the checks were made out. I have e-mailed Matt and will send him a check out for $80.00 and it will come from my funds. The rest of the top will stand as is.

Sorry Matt

No problem Marvin. It's an easy correction to make. No hard feelings! I'll be sending in my membership fees for next year ASAP. My brother Eric who actually beat me will definitely be joining also. Thanks again for all your hard work!

I mean, will it not promote our club if we make announcements on this forum ? Our GWG web site is unknown to most growers outside our club and there is no interaction on it other than the listing of emails for our club officers. This forum on the other hand is read by hundreds of growers, I would think. I believe the GWG club should be dynamic. I hope we are going to do a little more than have a silent auction and send out a news letter once a year and squabble over whether to include the new world record holder on the world record trophy.

Just to set the record right. Matt Burcham toke 15th place in the GWG top 20. With his 208.80 pound melon. Matt is from Pleasant View,TN He also is a new member in the club. Some thing tells we will see his name and Eric's up in the top again. As i said the rest will stay as they are. Not bad this year we paid 21
