My leaves are getting brown spots, turning yellow, then tobacco brown. It started at the stump so I figured it was old leaves dying, but now it's spreading looks similar to alternaria or gummy stem, if it's either one can the plant be saved? I've never had melon plants do this before. It's only on one of plants, just happens to be my PB melon I hope to save it for Bear Wallow. any advice is appreciated. I'm a low tech redneck so posting pics is something I'm not familiar with!!!

It could be alternaria leaf spot. Im not sure if you can stop it, there are some fungicides that might work. Good Luck. A picture would be great. Google alernaria and see what you find.

I'd start with Dithane or a generic (mancozeb). Should slow it down.
