282 pounds ought to put a little swagger in your step Todd. Congrats again. And why do I almost feel sorry for Chris when he shows up with a 254 ? It's all about expectations I think. No one can be the best every single year though. So big congratulations to the Kents. And Bill's 234 is a very respectable melon from one of the world's best growers. Congratulations Bill. And Mark for all my trash talk early in the year you have certainly humbled me and come up with a great melon at 228 pounds. Big congratulations to a man with a mouth almost as big as mine. lol

Play nice now Mark. You know we all work hard for our melons no matter what the final size. I know I worked very hard for my tiny little 179.5 melon. lol

Great results....outstanding job Todd.....223"....off the chart....WOW!!! Must have had a few hearts beating at a little higher rate as she was heading to the scales......

This is my first year with this great plant and I have one measuring 192" today..... 18 days left to the weigh-off in Wellington and she is still growing!! I figure that's not too bad for a Canadian......eh!!

Cheers....and Good Luck to All in the upcoming weeks...

Outstanding job Todd. Congrats.

Our melon won't be as big as last year, but a 200#+ melon (if we could get one to go heavy) would be the highlight of our 2011 season. Good luck everyone.

Jane & Phil
