Woww, It appears that they love 100+ temps. They have ballooned up this last week very nice. The plant with one keeper has a nice 42" circumference x 40" girth. The other plant that has three keepers are all comparable in size to this one.Trying to see if both plants will bear equal size fruits regardless if three or one on the plant.I feel this may be a fair test.To date i have culled over 75 set fruits on the plant that i kept one and close to that amount on the other. All nice size and shape. It appears these may have nice qualitys or benefits in breeding these with the cc,s.

Those are pretty amazing plants. They may indeed make a good genetic exchange with Carolina Cross. Please keep us posted.

Did you cross them with cc watermelons? If so I would like a seed or two from the crosses when they are ready.

They are the most vigorous looking plants in the patch. They like heat, they set fruit effortlessly, and without a doubt very hardy.I had to prune them back quite a bit as they were attepting to "weed out"all the cc,s.Had no effect at all and they acted like nothing happened. In 1 week it didnt look like i pruned at all.I did manage to get 2 fruits crossed with (male pollinated)255 mitchells that are looking good as well.Plants were germed on april 30th but look the youngest in the patch...
