If you want a very large melon that is very productive and tastes as good as anything else being grown you need to consider Mountain Hoosier.

I found the taste of Moon and Stars to be less than ideal, and somewhat disappointing. It is an heirloom, and can grow to a fairly large size for an "eatin' melon". (My best M&S was a shade off of 35 lbs, most 12-20 lbs. for me).

I should say it is sold as an heirloom watermelon.
