Are you on sand or clay? Im giving mine about 1 gallon of water a day at about high noon to help cool the plant was 98 degrees in greenhouse today!plants are about 1 1/2 foot long.I dont fert its all in the soil,no need to!If you fert I would take baby steps & wait 3 days for results if there nice & dark green they should be good!I make a bowl around plant & keep stem dry!

Pizza, some Carolina Cross seeds seem to begin plant growth at a lot faster pace than others. But with that said, any of these plants will slow under less than favorable growing conditions. Also, they are all capable of rapid growth rates under favorable growing conditions. There is nothing like foliar applied kelp to bring a stalled or slow plant into normal or high growth rates. That's my story & I'm stickin' to it. :-)

If your soil drains well then watering every day or even twice a day or more is good.I have been watering 3 times a day since we started getting daily highs in the 90's.However, your roots will grow deeper and further if you water less often and in larger quantities.
