I have watermelon seedlings that I germinated 1-2 wks ago in large peat pots and I can't get them planted until at least Friday. How harmful is it to keep them in pots this long? I know it can't be good.

Ok good. I remember reading somewhere that some people started the watermelon a month before they plant.

Great question Nick, I was going to ask the same thing. Mine have been in large pots (cat litter buckets) for 2 months now. Patch is way to wet to do anything.Last year they were in the ground in mid to late April if I remember correctly.
Handy, that makes me feel a lot better.

Sorta thinkin the root bound scare, is more twards AG's instead of Melons!!! Not sure tho? Hope so, as I have CC's in 32 oz cups, and will be Sunday b/4 they go in the ground....2 weeks since they popped up!!! Peace, Wayne
