Give me your address or send it to coolvol@comcast.net and I will send seeds from the offspring of my 207; if you don't mind a lack of genetic history. I believe they are very capable of growing a huge melon and they germinate very easily. And if you don't send me a SASBE I will mail in a regular envelope which I think works reasonably well unless you are talking about very pricey seeds.Or just send a SASBE to: Dennis Masterson 1225 Woodberry Dr Knoxville, Tn 37912

You need to get a load of aged (2 years) compost or manure.a couple yards per plant.treat for grubs,I had grubs in horse manure real bad a couple times,Melons dont get as much ferts as the kins you will kill plant or slow it down if you go to heavy when plant is small.we start seeds mid April,Found out this year from Kirk & Marvin germinate best in the high 90s,get plants in patch by may 1st if warm enough out.I may use ground cables if cool weather happens.also mini greenhouse to warm ground, place 1 week prior to planting. The roots will grow ahead of plant,if plant is 4 feet long,do not till within 5 feet of stump.you will be chopping up the roots that are feeding your plant,we hand weed at this point.the loop works great slicing weeds off at surface, when you pull them your yanking roots out of soil.Melon roots included. The rest is a lot like kins, but we dont bury vines as much as kins,Try to pollinate before the the 1st of July.I have never made that goal but hope to this year,I hope this is the kinda advice you are looking for,not to much information.lol Any questions Markclementz@comcast.net Im no expert but I know a few,lol

I have been doing test germinations and have found that if you use the parer towel method you need to make sure there is no extra moisture in the towels as that will make your seeds rot.

TD, I would advise against the "seeds in a regular envelope" thing!!! I have received several "regular envelopes" full of seed dust!!! The USPS mechanized system, puts em thru a set of rollers, that KRUSHES em!!! Peace, Wayne
