GWG guys.. I wonder if we could set up a seed database. There may already be one, I don't know. We could have the most popular seeds and their offspring. I feel this would be a great tool in improving size of watermelons as well as helping growers make genetic decisions. Just like the pumpkinlink website. Just wondering if there is anything like that out there.

Sparkey: I am working on one now that i will send to all the GWG members to help them in genetic decisions. Also if we have room maybe we can put in the GWG web sit. We could add to it as time goes on. Should be done in a few days.

Good work guys, I have been wanting to see this happen. I been trying to get people onboard for a few years to report parentage, glad to see others getting on it now. Now if we can just get individual weigh offs to report the parentage to the GPC,(and now GWG) correctly. If you look back a few years you'll see that was lacking in the past...

Check out www.aggc.org for pumpkins. It would be neat to have something similar for melons. Members can list thier genetics and offspring.

That would be very nice to have a database like the AGGC site. Is it possible to get the program from the site owner and use it for watermelons on the GWG site or a link to it from the GWG site? I have lots of spare time I could use to enter information, if I had the program...
