Hi all. I have a decent plant and another scrawny one to plant in case we need the pollen. We have plenty of sunlight , but it still averages 44F at night and will take 2.5 months to get up to an average of 50F. Low should be around 47F April fools day. For this plant, should I get heat cables or just keep it in the pot outdoors during the day and bring in back in at night until later? Our goals are to learn best practices to grow for our early county fair dates...and if we get lucky take a fruit to the fair this year. Thanks

I would get soil cables, grow the one that you dont have much room for in a smaller pattern. Having it root bound in a pot, bringing it in and out everyday sounds like alot of shock to the plant to me.

Thanks for the comments and confirmation on the cables. www.extremepumpkinstore.com has started the shipping process on two sets.
