18 times this seed went to auction and always in a multiple seed lot and 8 of those lots it went from 30 down to NS(4 times).
@ the newbies, stay away from the herd mentallity seeds and you can find seeds with very good genetics cheap while supporting the auctions.
@ those who bought them the 1st year, how many of you will be finally planting them this year after seeing Barry LeBlancs results. 19% heavy from a 10% heavy

You're probably right spudder, many growers would probably have more fun choosing with their gut instinct rather than with their wallet. But there's also nothing wrong with supporting the clubs and buying the most exciting/proven seeds. There's definitely two routes to go, and I think either route can create something to be proud of.

Gritty , the point is there are plenty of good seeds available so the every year lament that "I can't afford a good seed" is not true. If I was a good serious grower then I might go after something proven like the 2365. Those going for the gusto i understand

I get what you're saying. A beginner could be very successful even with a "less hot" seed. This is true!
