Shout out to Joe Morgan for crushing the MN State Fair record with a 1808.5 pound pumpkin yesterday (off the 2222 Gienger seed). It's an early, non GPC weigh off, and it is fantastic to see a grower set their sights on winning it and bringing a fruit (their only!) that could have cruised past 2000 lbs with as much time as we have left.

Nice! There's some weigh offs where a 2k pumpkin wont even land you in the top 3. Its a sacrifice, but its fun to win, congrats!

Wow! Congrats Joe! With the cooler weather we've had this summer in MN, as well as all the rain in many parts, I was thinking the weights in MN would be down compared to other years. This result may bode well for the later local weigh offs. Could another WR come out of MN again this year?
