Hi thanks for your previous responses. I measured the pumpkin again thus evening. I plugged the measurement in and it came up with 485. It gained 104 lbs approx.in 5 days. Do they gain more weight in a day as they get bigger?? I averaged a hair under 21 lbs a day do you think the gains will be larger?? Thanks again. It is really a fun thing glad I tried it. It is a great distraction from all of the other farming.

Depends on how old it is, but I'd bet you have a shot to finish at least 800 pounds, depending on the health of the plant. Post some pics.

That's great i'm guessing 35-40 days old like Andy said those type of gains with a decently healthy plant could get you 800+ pounds...keep watering and feeding that thing!

Farming, like skiing - 'Keep your crops up!', lol--- Just be sure you can see your AG fruit over the other, less-fun crops, lol.
You could merely add to this post since it's under the same topic as though replying to your original post from here on, to keep a better running account of said topic for all;
F'rinstance, you wouldn't have a chart with each bar of it on a separate page.
For any newer topics, of course, you'd make a new 'Post New Message'. Not critical, just pointing it out and congratulations on your 800-plus-pounder-to-be by respected growers' comments! eric g

Agree. Formula I use is: highest daily gain x 40 = a probable final weight. Applying this to your current growth data, 21 x 40 = 840.
Better start thinking about a way to move it, thats past the limit of rudimentry lifting methods.

Just for fun, and thinking WEIGH ahead of time, lol, here is an example of a lifting sling with all the amenities... Guessing you perhaps have a tractor... Shown here is something to copy or at least think of that is the standard, yet personalized for ME, lifting sling for any non-back-breaking lifting efforts.

Yeah with so many weeks left in the growing season, keep a healthy plant and you can cruise to the end of September and it will continue to grow. Start a diary, it’s a great way to show other growers your progress or show any issues or concerns you might need help with.
You’ve likely got a good one growing, have fun.

So stoked you got into growing giant pumpkins!:) Sad part is,,, now you're addicted and there's no turning back! lol Sounds like you have a nice one going. Keep growing it like you would the rest of the farm. Learn a little more each year and enjoy the distraction of watching them grow. The pumpkin patch is my happy place. I can be having a terrible day a work, kids driving me nuts anything that can put a frown on my face. As soon as I get in the patch, all those feeling are gone!
Like Glenn said, start a diary or reach out to a local grower and get some tips. The bigger you grow them the more exciting it becomes!
Great post!

Measured last night and came up with 593 lbs. It averaged 21.6 lbs a day for the last five days. Up a hair from the previous five days.
