Need an opinion on this, I currently live in North Carolina, which has a very hot humid climate in summer, does anyone think the 150sq foot challenge would be worth a try in the south?

I researched your area for fun and I like the temperatures because it was 10 below in NY three nights ago, lol---
Seems that others around your latitude(?) are growing 1900-plus, so why not? You've got the seeds to do it! Haaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaa...
'Go for it' is my opinion. Highest average high is like 89.
Cool! Err, I mean...I think Powdery Mildew comes to NY from the South,
so beware and get some Mildew Cure. eg

I have thought about doing the challenge before. I think it is for sure doable. I think the biggest challenge is getting a fruit set in the area. So play with your layout and you may have vines circling the perimeter. The AG's early vine growth is a lot faster here than you will be used to. You do not get many(or any) sets 10" here. Keep your N low. Good Luck!

I have a question: Does the fruit have to be in the area also?

Jonah,

Get a shade cloth and a bottle of Daconil and you should be good to go.
