I didn't know which category to place it in and Seed-Starting is far from growers' minds until a day before it's needed, lol, although now IS the time to do experiments;

I think it's really neat-o and lemme no if there are others like it I have not seen. I'll keep at it until it gets broken or whatever - maybe it'll get flowers on it, lol. eg

eg, do those flourescent light tubes contain mercury? I saw the roots were getting long on your other one. I do think clear plastic makes really nice pots because its so easy to see both the top and bottom of the plant!!!

I do not think there's any mercury present unless at one time, any actual, glass light tube was broken within this protective tube - that is what this was: a tube to protect one from a broken fluorescent light bulb...I think; I actually had one get damaged right over me in a workplace 30 years ago -
