In the auctions, I must have seen ten hundred thousand seeds/pumpkins produced using the 1885, 2183, and the 2365 forwards, backwards, and upside down. Obviously those are great crosses and will produce what ever each seed brought to the mix.

So, excluding combinations of those three seeds what do you
currently think was the best cross of 2022.

My opinion is the 1904 Sperry = 1885 x 2520

Sort of ignoring your exclusion, but I'd say the Paton top 3 from the year. How many seeds have both parents producing 2300 lb fruit?

I agree Garwolf! The 1940 Urena seems solid and maybe Stelts crosses or 2118 Skinner crosses or some of those other kins that hit 2200 + this year... personally I like the % heavy x % heavy ones grown by Gadberry or Ron Barker over here as options too.

I'm going to try and go orange this season. I have a couple of Andy's seeds and a 1904. No orange in the 1904 and it wouldn't win a beauty contest but I'm going to give it a try along with my "glow in the dark" Wolf seeds.
