I have a couple of 250 gal. totes I plan to use next year to apply liquid fertilizer. I want to set it up to feed at certain intervals 24/7. Can anyone tell me what the best but least expensive timer to use. I'm thinking it will just need to turn the pump on and off say every hour or so. I'm also wondering what the usual feeding schedule is. Your thoughts, ideas, and direction will be appreciated.

Lowes/home depot has these timers. They have higher voltage/current ones as well. They should work for turning on an ac pump. Find one that matches the voltage and current of your pump.

This one will do 277v 40 amps. Should run a pump under 5hp fine.
Personally I'm using a gas trash pump and overhead sprinkers. Lots of water flow with a 6.5hp engine

Ashton,
Thanks for the info. Do you feed at regular intervals using a timer or do you just turn yours on and off manually. What's your typical feeding schedule?
