I'm not an expert on pumpkin growth curves but with the way this one is growing combined with the patons ability to keep them growing well past 100 days I feel like it could end up taping well in excess of 3000 lbs.

steveviscious89 I remember reading this article a few years back about this mathematician / physicist who was able to calculate the absolute maximum weight that a pumpkin could theoretically grow to before structurally failing. It was a little over 20,000 lbs when the fruit had the most ideal shape and wall thickness.

Cjb they're both crossed with the 2356 if I read their diary correctly. Should be a good cross, seeing as their 2356 is still on near wr pace unless its slowed down lol.

After 15 to 18 years shooting for the world record by bending nature, feeding to keep things perfectly balanced, having the ability to keep the temperature right where it should be, shading by computer when the sun is at its best time for burning leaves, spending 4 to 6 hours daily in the patch and many other things to make these things grow bigger then they should. I hope they hit 3000 or at least 2800!! I can't think of anyone who deserves it more then theses two men!!
Keep at it guys, don't blow that fruit and keep twisting mother nature further and further!! You got this!!

Remarkable! I recall when Ron Wallace broke the 1500 lb. barrier. I thought that was close to the upper limit for these pumpkins. Little did I know.
