Stan, For unofficial use in the patch I take duct tape and fold it lengthwise in half. Using a standard tape measure I mark off every 5 inches with a marker pen. I keep one at each pumpkin already draped around the back over the stem so it is a snap to pick up the ends and grab a quick but rough measurement. And no, I don't know where to buy a real one. Lee

I've found nylon poly lines can be wrapped around the kin and crimped. All the little crimps keep a physical record of the pumpkins growth. If I am curious exactly where its at, its easy enough to stretch the poly line out along a standard 25 ft tape measure. (In my case a 12' tape measure is usually sufficient.) 120" isnt much... that gets you up to 400 lbs I think.

Go to your local fabric shop and buy them. Tape 2 together and you get 240 inches and you help the local economy.

The 192 like Don said is the one. Someone needs to come up with a 225 inch. Juts for pumpkins!:) Hollands had them years ago but I haven't been able to find a good tape in 10 years..?

I made my own out of a strip of cloth binding and just marked the inches with a permanent marker.
