Thank you all for persuading me to continue with my diary which dates back many years. And thank you all for the kind support. We’ve been fortunate enough to have many wonderful growing years with more highs than lows. It’s always about PB’s, State records, National records and ultimately growing the biggest fruit ever to sit on this planet. So there is another side to all this which is more important to Stuart and I. Helping others achieve the above. Please don’t be afraid to ask us to help you. Log into the videos in the top left hand corner of BP. Trawl through my old diaries or email us. The life long friends we’ve made makes our sport very unique. Ian

Thank you two for sharing your passionate quest with the BP community. 70lbs a day is unreal-thats easily better than any reality tv show. Cant wait for your next updates.

At the moment we’re aiming for about 20C but it’s not always that easy especially during the day. Today it hit 36C but it’s not a problem because the shading to the direct heat. Just try to make the plants as comfortable as possible.

Your plants look so comfortable!! If I had a nice chunk of extra money sitting somewhere, I'd build a fully climate controlled greenhouse!!
Man that would be nice!
I'm cheering for you all the way across the pond and have been since the world record was 1800. Its a 1000 pounds more then that now! Unbelievable but I think this year something very special is coming out of the Paton patch!
Couldn't happen to 2 of the nicest, giving, caring, fun, exciting, guys out there!
