Been putting off burying vines on 64 plants over the holiday weekend. Planned to do it tomorrow. Having coffee on patio this am. Phone bings with a weather warning for 60 mph winds this afternoon. Got them all buried in 5 hours but near killed this old man. Started raining on the last plant. Wind supposed to hit around 4.

This commercial grower
Bur-ied vines
Got it all done in the nick of time
With a shovel and a 'barrow and then
In a rush to post
This commercial grower did more than most.

There - Helped ya save it.
Great job, ag, from another grower whom
has yet to bury a vine in '22! later---eg

Okay guys. I admit it came out pretty boastful. Pumpkinpal. Had that song in my head all morning long now. Storm dissipated before it got here but at least I don’t have that to do today when it’s hotter than Haddes.

Too me that didn't sound boastful at all. I know the feeling of rushing to get things done. Last year I got a delivery of hay (about 135 bales) right as a major storm came out over the horizon, I was hustling and needless to say didn't get it all done before the lightning started. When I saw that the lightning and pouring rain was all around us,I gave in to defeat and said "heck with it, the last 15 bales are going to be used for mulch hay."

Burying 64 plants in 5 hours, holy Crap. That is more impressive than Joey "Jaws" Chestnut this year at Coney Island. . He only ate 63 hot dogs this year, but he was injured and on crutches. I only have 3 plants to bury and it takes me way to long and I get bored fast.

Ned, Jaws also choked a protestor out on stage with a hotdog in mouth, then carried on like a boss. That counts as 2 dogs at least.

Sorry AG Joe, you didn't beat Joey Chestnut, but 64 plants in 5 hours is its own record! I could do 6.4 plants in 5 days.
