First year grower in southern Michigan starting seeds. How long approximately can you keep a plant in a pot or grow bag before it becomes root bound? Say for a 2 gallon grow bag?

15-20days.When the 4th true leaf is 3 inches across. Youll have roots wrapped around the inside of the pot/bag that will help hold the soil together. It wont be "root bound" yet.

Thanks, I appreciate your information. Trying to time the planting.

When I saw the title "Pumpkin pot", I thought it was a new flavor.

Yeah, and then have to double the container size every extra week you want to add on. Like 1 gallon = 1 week of growth post germination, 2 gallons = 2 weeks, 4 gallons = 3 weeks 8 gallons = 4 weeks of growth post germination (?) etc. The only exception is very weak seedlings-- they do lag behind the most vigorous ones.

Air Pots are the ticket if you plan on leaving them in there for more than 15 days
