The 2702 is not an option because world records always sell high for a few years. I see people with seed picking scores and other criteria so here is a chance to show your skills. Do not pick more than 1 as that will be your pick. GPC info page will give you the list for most of the seeds. We will revisit this post at end of auctions over the next couple of years to see who got it right.
Pick 1 seed from the 2021 growing season that will rise over the next year or two to the top of the auctions for seeds from pumpkins/squash grown in 2021.

How are you going to score? Difference in average price at auction year to year? How are you going to factor in bundling? 2195 Theil

Usually a seed that becomes the or a top seed morphs to a stand alone seed at most the auctions and there is usually but not always a seed from each year that stands out but it is not always a superseed(ie 2145, 1885,2183)

Using the Garwolf "Feel Good Scoring System" :), which is unproven, undocumented, unsubstantiated, and unfortunate, of the top seeds I have in my pouch, scores as follows: 2517.7 Mendi - 36.0 2100 Stelts - 33.5 2191 Uhlmeyer - 32.2 1760.5 Uhlmyer -30.6 2365 Wolf - 27.6
I've scored a number of other popular and unpopular seeds and most fail to get out of the high teens to low twenties.
What does it all mean - I don't know, but I had fun creating the system.

I saw a 2365 Booth go for $25. My bet is that its worth more than that.

My choice of the 2517.7 Mendi was based on great genetics and a well known name that growers recognize. Plus I know I paid up for the three I have!

I would have to pick the 2517 as well, to be top price. It is consistently one of the tops this year. It would be fun to see which seed increases in value the most from entry price to proven price.

Here's a shot from the north. 1728 Johnson is 1501 VanderWielen x 1775.5 Werner. I'm going with the 1728 Johnson.

this or one of Kerry's other 2 seeds I think are sleeper seeds that are overlooked and are probably going to grow a huge pumpkin if planted.

2003 Kisamore or 2143 Werner. It’s a crapshoot. We will find out next fall. The top 2 seeds of 2020 were just short of 1 ton.

I’m really surprised to have heard no mention of the 1046 Connolly. It will see soil in my patch this year also.

I think the 1765 Greathouse is a real sleeper. Late pollination on a side vine on the 1885 and pollinated with the 1686 that grew his 2133.5. Hopefully it sees some dirt.

So here's the Tally so far:
Bayuk 2376 - 1 Booth 2356 - 1 Connolly 1046 - 1 Cutrupi 2158 - 1 Engle - 1296 - 1 Greathouse 1765 - 1 Gross 1463 - 1 Johnson 1728 - 1 Kissamore 2030 - 1 Mendi 2356 - 1 Mendi 2517 - 4 Noel 2092 - 1 2110 Platte - 1 Skinner 2078 - 1 Uhlmeyer 2091 - 1 Urena 1910 - 1 Urena 2007 -1 Vangeal - 2439 - 1 Wallace - 2201 - 2 Werner - 2143 - 1 Wolf 1797 - 1 Wolf 2365 - 2
Only 3 seeds go more than one vote, i.e. 2517 Mendi (4), 2201 Wallace (2), 2365 Wolf (2). I did not count posts where more than one selection was made or selection was made for color, not size.

It would be nice, if someone hits the seed, the owner of the seed, if available, will award 1 seed to the winner. If there are multiple winners, draw for 1.

Pick your own if you wish Rmen. Seeds go out of favor pretty quick if something big is not grown first year.
