interesting pursuit of seed. I do not know much about it, but some internet searching gave some info. I would say I have much amaranthus (?) growing wild around my patch, but doubtful any of it is amaranthus australis. Wonder what secret JohnB knows....or is it a secret recipe....is it edible?
<watching and waiting to learn from the northern expert

Here is my Amaranthus from last year at 21 feet. Unfortunately my plant was male and i didn't have any seeds from it. The seeds are the size of a grain of sand. You need a magnifying glass to see them.

Hi all. Sorry to hijack your post John, but I am looking to grow the Amaranth Australis also. I grew them about ten years ago and was fascinated by their growth. Since then, I have been unable to locate seeds. If anyone can point me in the right direction to find some, ( Hint Hint sunflower,) I would appreciate it. Thanks Ed. D1109@aol.com
