Last fall I planted and tilled in before December, I might wait this year, till in before early spring, then do soil test. Any thought's on this? Thanks

If you did rye last year, you might want to switch to mustard this time around, plus it likes eating soil pathogens

I’ve never tilled the rye in before spring, it continues to grow and root over winter (at least here). By early spring it is thick, and once tilled I suspect it really helps with my OM.
It holds a nice green contrast compared to the brown\dead landscape of January as well.
