Congratulations to Jay Yohe for growing a new record long gourd at 152.25”!

This is the second consecutive continental record long gourd to be measured at the PGPGA weigh off. PGPGA legend Larry Checkon had been holding the record of 149.25” since 2018.

Good luck beating Pennsylvania’s long gourd growers.

Frank Ansems of Nova Scotia Canada brought a 154.75” to show today. PGPGA can’t claim the whole continent- just the entire United States of America.

To clear up the confusion in my original post- this is the second consecutive USA record out of Pennsylvania. I saw the Ansems gourd information after posting. Larry’s gourd was 1/4” short of Al Eaton’s record gourd and Jay’s was bested by another Canadian gourd today.

Very cool Jay and Frank. U both broke the North America Record. Frank's was a little bit longer though and 1/4 inch from tying the world record.

A long gourd that's 1/4" from the world record? Deja Vu all over again. Congrats Jay and Frank!

Congrats Jay ! Very impressive season. Jay has a lot of shade to deal with on his property, or I should say, his neighbors property.

Congrats to Jay and Frank what a great showing also want to say congrats to Catharina Ansems for her long gourd of 157.75 it was a real shame knowing about 2 weeks before weigh off that it was going to be damaged.
