It was a perfect day and Leighty’s Farm Market was a great venue. I’m looking forward to many more weigh-offs there.

Justin Reiter did a great job as the M.C. Jay Yohe smashed his personal best with his first place pumpkin weighing 1822lbs. Congratulations, Jay. Ryan Peace also smashed his personal best by more than 500lbs with a 1524 that placed in the top 10. There were several growers with personal bests and a great showing by a new grower named Luke who seemed to be really fired up about learning more and doing even better next year. He brought a giant pumpkin and a massive bushel gourd.

It was just a great event in every possible way. Way to go, PGPGA!

Yes! Leighty's Farm Market was a perfect venue for the PGPGA and I hope it is held there for many years to come. It was a fun day for my family and especially for me because I won the raffle:)

Thanks for the kind words Thomas. I’m hoping the PGPGA has found our new forever home. Thanks to all the helpers yesterday and for all the growers who attended. It sure was a great day.
