Or is this article BS?

Marv.

On top of Brush Mountain, Pa.

Carolina Reaper is the hottest pepper of them all followed by the Ghost.

I can barely tolerate mild salsa so I'll pass.

If you look at when the article was published (April 1,2015) or looked at the comments you might realize it is a hoax.

I don't see how using a technique to grow capsaicin crystals inside a giant white habanero would translate into the seeds growing peppers that would do the same . Maybe some expert could answer that ?
The ghost is ranked 8 or 9th and falling out of the top 10 as more get tested , look up hottest peppers 2016. But it will still give you pain , top ten or not !

I popped the primo ( 1,000,000 + ) into my mouth and ate it . Lets just say it was quite an experience . I think Kevin has the right idea , dry them , grind them into a pepper powder and then you can control the heat better . The other thing to remember is that when you pick one off the plant , it could be hotter than the average used to rate them .

Home of happy lil plants

this article is bs

crystaline structure is first off photoshopped...2nd off in the wrong place(by seeds is where capsasin is

and 3rd
reaper is hottest
close behind is the trinidad line 7pot-brainstrain-moruga(the mottled one) i think it is? then you have everything else a few 100k scu behind it like ghost bhut jolaki etc on down the list

There's so many crosses out there now it's hard to say which is the hottest. Chocolate bhutlah is the hottest I've had, way hotter than the reaper & I've had a few of those. Apparently the Oregon venom type 1 is just off-the-charts hot but I haven't had one.
