I mean like genetic wise what pollination crosses have you guys made this season that seem like super good crosses on paper. Also are they on pace to get to 1200 to 1700 pounds, mabey at least 1000...???

Thanks!

998 Pukos x 935 Lloyd

If you are looking very strong and dark cross you really should concider 974 Powell -07 x 972 Bolt -08 or vice versa. I believe these "growers" will make some miracles in Peking too.

Phil doesn't know running...obviously. No sense making a comment like that anyway.

I personally put 998 in everything I had. Unfortunately nothing was put into the 998!

The 555 Janicek, is growing great, pumpkin on it fits in the 20 day 1200 pound pumkin measurements. I have culled 21 pumpkins off it.

hey you

Greencastle, PA

1556 Werner x 695 Handy
1100 Hester x 1556 Werner
695 Handy x self

The 695 should be well over 1000lbs by the end of this month. The 1556 and 1100 are growing a bit slower, but that's my fault. I think they could still reach 800lbs. The 1556 x 695 will see dirt next year if it has any good seeds.

1068 Papez X 1096.5 Privitera. I was going to try a cross with the 104 Grimes, but we got so much rain it was under water twice for a week at a time. It is still alive so maybe I still might get a viable cross. Probably use the 1068.

1018 Langevin x 1009 Young and reverse.
Both vines have held up well under our extreme heat and winds; I'm hoping that the 1009 Young will prevail over the blobbiness (pale bread dough lump) of the 1018 for some good looking offspring. The hope is for the two to make good large pumpkins that grow well HERE. (oh and the 1018 is 1450x1502 Wallaces, btw..)
