Rob - Hello and I did what you might wanna do since there was no heading for Giant Sunflowers' information (A 'Board' dedicated to them) unless there was a recent post or reply concerning any given topic. So, go to each of these places below (accordingly, lol) in the future if you see no heading for your query and otherwise go to the last one for a basic answer to YOUR question via previous discussions in the past. I, myself grew big-headed sunflowers this past summer (no seeds back) and had one 10 feet tall with an average-sized head on it of about 1 foot max, but that's without ANY soil amending other than occasional water-soluble fertilizer whenever I got around to it. At each leaf, especially later-on, there was an additional flower trying to even just grow, but THOSE never got big enough to say so. Have fun and by the listing way up there it says 'Tall' for each of the listed seeds, so I'd ASSUME that they are not big-headed SFs. That is just MY assumption for you and they MAY have been Russian Mammoth (or whatever variety anyone ELSE states here) but per the provided last link, there are seed types/colors associated with plant outcomes, perhaps - The ones I grew were Rose 29" and 30" BHS (FAT, Black and White Stripeys, lol). Good Luck! eric g Go To: 'Main Menu' 'Message Board' etc.:

A trail of crumbs - I just figured you'll get answers at each stage and I will bow out now on any further investigation. eg
