On Saturday, Oct. 1, Daryl Tingley, Fredericton NB with a 1247 lb pumpkin set a new Windsor record previously held by Ben Hebb with a 1215 in 2002. Lisa Wentzell,Bridgewater NS placed second with 1190 and Edmund Hemphill, Mount Pleasant NB was third with a 1171 lb pumpkin. Hello Bendavid. We are practically neighbours! (I live handy Nackawic.) I did not grow AG's this year. Do you use cow or horse manure? I always used horse. My biggest weighed only 440 pounds (Grown 2 years ago.) Congrats on winning! I saw yours at the exhibition this year, with the exception of the one you lost. Your season is a tad earlier than ours. Whether I grow next year or not, depends on how well my strawberries (planted in my pumkin patch turn out).
