I went away for a couple of days and came home to a flush of cuc beetles. I had applied Admire to the soil but after I erected my hoop houses so there will be very little in the plant yet. I sprayed with Cymbush (Cypermethrine) tonight. This is a Pyrethroid insecticide similar to ambush and is quite effective. I also saw one squash bug! With all this heat, this should be expected. Also we are getting humidity now we hadn't before. I will likely apply a systemic fungicide tomorrow night.

John Thanks for the warning. I'm trying something different this season. I picked up some beneficial Nemetodes and sprayed them into the garden. 50 million of the little suckers should keep the cuk larva in check. At least I hope. If not, it's back to using sevin.
